YOu need special plugs for the 123 euro lights?

I was going to install my euros in my 83 240/300d but it seems my plugs won't work the lights the right way. I carved a little off the plug corner so it would plut onto my euro prongs but it seems that low beams work fine but high beam switch activates the smaller inside fogs.

It should have low and high on the outside and the inside is fogs, right?

Most likely you need a 6 pin connector instead of the 4 pin one on the car. & the wires go into different places on the connector.

Thanks, MBDOC

Can you suggest a source for a six pin connector?

The glow plug harness connector at the relay as well as W124 taillight harness connectors will work for you.

What kind Euros do you have?

The connections should be the same w/the exception of having to splice the corner lights to the city light connectors to have both - otherwise you will have just city lights. I have used Hella, Bosh, and Lucid (aftermarket) while using the original plug from a W123 w/no connection problem.

A word of caution: Lucid's connectors are slightly smaller diameter than OEM, so you may have to slightly close each individual connector on your plug for a good connection.

one large rectangular lense with two reflectors inside roughly cooinciding with the us style headlight/foglight.

I describe the way it seems to function in my op. It does not seem right to me.

Also where I have four holes in my harness there are six prongs on the headlight base.

Phil said I could get the plugs at the dealer and gave me the part number. He says its a better deal that way. He is a jewell of a fellow!

It wouldn't be surprising if I had one of those somewhere.
