Main air flaps
 

My 88 560sl main air flaps open when I start the car up when it has been sitting for a while
After running for a while , then restart it the flaps do not open at all
There is no vacuum going to the pods on the restart up
During restart up I did not change any settings
I also am not sure if they shut off during its initial run after it warms up
The manual shows these flaps open all the time in cooling and econo mode
The recirculate switch is off .
Anyone have an idea on this one ?
