S500-climate control+brake noise problems
 

1996 S500-two problems. 1) The climate control fan does not work at all. When driving a few days ago the fan quit totally. It doesn't work no matter what the outside temperature is or the inside temperature setting. Checked the fuse, no problem. Help.
2) In reverse there is quite a loud squeaking/squealing noise as I step on the pedal. Had the brakes checked, they are fine. Any ideas?

Occasional brake noise is not a huge deal as long as the pads and rotors are in good condition. Are the pads OEM pads? If not, different compounds can sometimes cause squeel.

On the 140 chassis, the usual blower motor problem ends up being the fan speed regulator. If you use the search function you should come up with a number of threads concerning this problem.
