'94 SL500 no start when at operating temp
Having a problem with my '94 SL500. Car when cold, starts and runs perfectly. As soon as it reaches operating temperature it will do one of two things. Either start stalling repeatedly, eventually reaching a non-starting state altogether just with occasional exhaust system popping. Or it will continue to run perfectly until shut off. At that point any attempt to re-start the car will not be sucessful, just the same occasional exhaust system popping. Any ideas?

More than likely in need of new caps and rotors

changed caps and rotors, vehicle runs fine, that was it!

Glad to hear it, I know the parts are a bit pricey, tough call to make, but pretty common failure. Good tough engine though!

Check for condensation inside your distributor caps, my 94 SL500 had similar problem. Problem ended up being bad camshaft seals. Easy fix.
