i too had this problem but on my 94 E320

its just crazy. sometimes it starts fine and runs no problem...then other times the car refuses to start up....drove me nuts

turned out to be the OVP and Fuel Pump relay

try all the things others have said....this way u can elminate other possibilities

It was in fact the relay you described. Local shop took my symptoms and found it easily. :cool:
