What does the Thermo-Vacuum Valve do?

Either open or close an air passage depending on the temperature of the coolant. In most cases it opens an air passage so a vacuum device is actuated at some preset coolant temperature. The EGR actuation circuit typically has such a valve.

Charcoal canister purge is also on a thermo switch on the W124.
