I just purchased my 1st MB, an '87 300D Turbo with 285,000 miles. It has been maintained very well, but has a few quirks. I have lots of questions but will start with just a couple of basic questions for now.
1)The left front strut is blown. What are recommended brands of struts?
2)I was told it needs new "flexi-disks" in the driveshafts. Are these easily replaceable? Am I correct in assuming that the pieces of the driveshaft just unbolt and I place the new disks between them and bolt it back together?
3) My brake pad sensor light is on. What are recommended brands of brake pads?
4)Are there any other reference websites I should be looking at?

Thanks for any and all replies.
