Ok, heres my question. In June I am planning a move to California. What will I have to do about my car as far as emissions go? Do they have certain requirements for out of state cars and/or older cars? Also if the above rule applies, what happens if my car doesnt meet the requirements? Thanks for your help

Assumminmg you did not tamper or remove any of the original equipment, you should not have any problems. I believe all the foreign cars were imported in the same configuration to make it easy for distribution. The only thing you should have to do is get the emmisions certificate, and at worst, it would require a tune up. If you are a member of the Auto Club (AAA), go to them for your registration, they are far more helpful than the DMV. Goodluck, Ed
