Car is an 83 W123.
I've checked and tested the rear-window defroster. I have 12V back there that goes away when the switch is turned off. I pulled the plastic c-pillar covers and the tabs/wiring looks OK. The grids lines are very very thin and worn looking. I am considering a heavy duty replacement from
http://www.frostfighter.com/ and wonder if anyone has tried doing this them selves with any level of success.
Any other hints on the problem are appreciated, but those wires in the grid look like they've just about been rubbed out of existence.
