Having an intermittant problem with ignition key that will not turn ignition. Works fine in door locks but sometimes will not turn ignition. I've taken wifes valet key and that seems to work fine. Do I need a new ignition key or ignition. How much does a new ignition run installed?

If your wife's key works okay,why not have a duplicate of it made. If that doesn't work you can replace just the tumbler and it isn't too hard to do. I doubt if your switch is bad. The switch is located on the rear of the ignition/steering-lock assembly and can sometimes be hard to replace. Good luck.
