300TE Engine Ground

ok guys, I am getting close now .............................

I have replaced my head gasket, engine mounts, and a few other parts, and now that I am ready to start my 300TE, its dead!

I did notice that a braided thick wire which goes from the chasis to transmission got broken, perhaps when I was replacing the engine mount? (This is located in the vicinity of the starter).................

It looks like a ground wire?

Is this why she will not turn over? All the electrical seems in tact, except, when I turn the key ............ I get nothing?

Thanks - William
