Timing Chain – which side do I feed it through from?

Boy do I feel dumb asking this, but it’s been 8 years since I did it last time. Which side should I feed the new timing chain from – drivers or passengers side? (M117 V-8) I must be getting old, I simply can’t remember….DUH
