1991 500 SL 125 KM

Hey folks.

While driving today my beast didn't want to shift into drive but rather wanted to stay in third. At times, it wanted to stay in second unless I kicked down the accelerator hard or was driving softly.

Mechanically, the transmission seems to be working fine when it shifts so I'm thinking it is a vaccum or electrical issue. Tends to work fine when cold early in the day and degrades from there.

Had similar problems a few weeks ago, found the fluid low and that seemed to fix the problem. Now it is back but the fluid appears fine. Do appear to have a very minor leak near the front left.

Certainly hoping to not have to rebuild a tranny.
