Rear End Ratio for 1993 S600?

I found a S600 differential for sale. I've been looking to upgrade the differential for my 1994 E420 to something higher than the stock (pathetic) 2.24.

I know the differential from a 1992-1994 400SE / S420 will fit my car, but how about a 1993 S600? Any idea what the ratio is on that?

Thanks,
Troy K.

2.65
It probably wouldn't fit if S420 fits as W140 500SEL and 600SEL have reinforced version and also becauce ASR is standard, no provision to install speed sensor in the differential.

What would be wrong with going to the E320 rear axle - 3.07 I believe. It seems like it should fit, and should be readily available.

3.07 too high

That's about a 45% increase from stock. The car would be a rocket off the line - but the RPMs would be way too high at even moderate speeds for my taste. MPG would probably drop by 40%, and the car wouldn't feel right.
