Head light turn switch light??????

Should my light switch lite up? I don't know how to remove the assy. to see if there is a bulb behind it.

The bezzle around the knob lights up, to show the different positions. Is it lit?

if it's similar to the 124 series, (i think all Mercs have the same basic design for the headlights switch) pull the knob off, then undo the big nut. The panel should then ease off.

Chazola has it right. The nut holding the bezzle is 24 MM. The bulb is a frosted pea bulb, I think it is about 1.2w.
