need help with my engine range?
 
hey all,
this is my first post but ive been here since aug of 03 reading and following you all, and ive learned alot about my 190e. many thanks.
im moving from wash. state to florida next week and need to replace some tuneup parts. my engine # is 102.985
im stuck on the part that asks which engine range does my car belong.
can you fill me in on how to determine that?

It's based on either the chassis sequence number, which is in the VIN that you can read at the base of the driver's side windshield or the engine sequence number. The parts reference should state which sequence range is required.

Offhand, I'm not sure where the engine sequence number is located, but it should be somewhere on the block - probably on the RH side where is can be reasonably viewed. Engine numbers are usually gang stamped on a pad that is cast into the block for that specific purpose.

my engine number is 12104350 according to phil from a past email.
here are my part options to order from... -12-078172, -10-030069, 12-078173- and 10-030070-
i cant for the life of me figure this out, whats with the dashes?
