how do i read dashes in engine range numbers?

whats with the dashes with engine ranges?
if the dash is first does it mean up to that number?
if the dash is last does it mean that number and down?
im so confused please explain cos i need parts from here asap.

xxx- is AFTER and including..

dash in front.....up to that #

dash after........beyond that #
