Does anyone know the procedure for adjusting the assembly consisting of the bowden cable, throttle, and manifold lever? They all work together by the the position of the gas pedal, pressure to the transmission, air flap to the manifold, etc. I've tooled around with it and it has resulted in varying degrees of success. I once got it to the point of great shifts, great pedal feel, great responsiveness, excellent mileage (for this car). The only downside of that setting was the downshift was very slow. Looking back, I should have left it at that. Unfortunately, attempts now to get it back to that has been elusive. Of course, if I could get it back to that and the downshift, watch out.
It would be great if one of the techs could post the instructions (manufacturer's or their own) on how to make the "proper adjustments". For those who haven't tried to do this, it's amazing how these adjustments change the driveability of the car. They all work together and changing one affects the other. It's like a maddening puzzle. Same car, different adjustment can make the car drive "like butter". If there is any tuning of this car, this would be it. When I changed spark plugs, oil, trans oil, differential oil, etc......nothing. Doing this.....you think, "same car?" And yes, it was better than the factory settings. So, those of you who have driveability issues (Like that slow as heck downshift I've heard from some of you), hopefully someone will enlighten us.
