				Is my tranny dead?

Hi All: Was driving home in the pouring rain today when I stepped on the gas and the engine just revved. I was able to use reverse but no forward gears. I can feel a little thump when I put it in drive like the tranny engages in drive but no forward motion. There were no symptoms prior to this situation. It drove fine, no slipping, fluid smells fine, fluid level when hot is fine too. I know my rear bushings needed changing because it thumped when I put it in gear but it wasn't hard shifting. Did anyone here have the same experience and what was the solution? I hope it is not a new tranny. Does anyone know where I can find a rebuilt one for a '87 260E. Any information will be helpful. Thanks in advance. Aloha, Eric
