Upgrades to 140?
 

Inspired by the discussion about mirrors that have garage door openers integrated within, I am thinking of what else can be done to upgrade these cars.

I recently completed fixing all of the "needs" on my car, and it is looking real good, so time to spend money on things other than maintenance items.

I am thinking mostly of genuine MB parts that might have been included in later similar models. I was able to acquire quite a few M5 parts for my 85 535is, and these made the car unique and more fun to own.

I installed the cargo net that (on other models) comes standard on the tranny housing in the passenger foot well. (I ordered the net for an 04 model that had the net, and the kit came with the mounting clips. Worked great.) I have the usual rims/tires (Lorinser 18s with Conti CH90s), upgraded CD head, and perf chip, but I am thinking more of items that might have come on later model S500s, etc.

Did they change the outside mirrors? (I would like to have the turnsignals in the mirror). Were there any interior upgrades? Were there any steering wheels that had radio or other controls?
