Alternator Bearings
 

Does anyone know of a source for alternator bearings or what size is required for a 1988 260e with M103 engine?

I think mine are going out and I want to have some on hand just in case. I already bought a spare set of brushes.

they are available through mercedes Benz here are their part numbers
front bearing- 007-981-89-25
and
Rear bearing- 007-981-90-25
or
din number 000625 436201
the rear bearing has a variant depending on a to and a from engine number.
so if you want send me your complete vin and i can tell you the variant.

ok her is the deal. the front bearing is 007-981-89-25 and sells for $35.
the rear bearing is 000625-436201 and sells for $14
the mercedes dealer here can get them, but they have to be ordered, i am sure your local dealer can get them also. hope this helps.
