W124 subframe mounts- who's done it and how?
That's pretty much my question...
Whom out there has done this with minimal extra tooling. I'd like any pointers possible before breaking into it. Michael |
If you have a floor jack and jackstands or another safe way to support the car and lower the suspension as a unit it will be an easy job. If you are not accustom to doing such work, you might want to get some help to be safe.
All you need to do is with the suspension safely supported, loosen the bolts going through the subframe mounts, lower the suspension enough to replace the mounts and put it back together. If you are talking about the DIFFERENTIAL mounts, that is another story requiring a puller and a plentiful supply of useful curse words. Good luck, |

Check out the above thread and download the pdf file referenced in it. It has all the info you need to replace the subframe mounts. |
