Flex Disc Translation - help
I'm ready to install the front flex disc and know it's supposed to be mounted a certain direction. It's printed: diese seite zu gelenkw. They abbreviated the 'gelenkw' word!
HELP! How do I know which side faces the front? BTW, I tried a bunch of online translation sites, but the abbreviation won't work. |
Gelenk means joint, as in u-joint.
I would think it means toward the driveshaft, not the transmission or rear differential. ;) |
Manny is correct. It means "This side towards driveshaft". Although I can't say that it matters. I installed one 'backwards' once and couldn't tell any difference.

Those flex disks are asymetric -- the bolt "holes" are relieved on one side. Note which way the original is installed and put the new one in the same way.
Will make a big difference in vibration! Peter |
