Freon Charge in Winter?
I have a 92 300D with a hole in the evaporator. I charged it up with R134 in December and it blew cold through August. My question: Am I safe to let it go until it gets hot again (April here in Texas!) or is it advisable to keep it charged throughout the winter to prevent moisture from getting into the system?

Some of the R134 oils are quite hygroscopic. It's probably better to get if fixed sooner rather than later.

fix it!
you should not only fix it because of the sysyem being open to moisture (future problems a certainty) but also because in the wintertime you will be more apt to use the windshield defrost function which works best in conjuction with your a/c
