560 SEL will not start after fuel filter change
Please please help.
I took a day off yesterady and decided to replace the check valves and filter on my 1991 560 SEL. As of right now, I could canck for minutes and engien will not run. Upon examineation of the replaced check valve, I realized that I don't know if I line the holes on the valve to the fuel line. Could this be the problem? How is it possible that one could turn juest right to make sure that holes are 100% in the fuel line? What about that nut for the fuel filter. I don't remember how many holes it has.
Any way, it was an experience I don't ever want to go over again. Since the fule line are so hard that they can't be pinched, I found two rubber stoppers. I drove as much as I dare and release the pressure from the tank. However, upon pulling out the line from the first fuel pump, gas just pour out. Before I manage to put stopper in, I got gas all over me, in the eyes and hair. I call for help but wife, son and daughter were either playing games or watching TV.
