Why does the claiper on the 190E look weird?

I have the ol 190E back, helping the new owner with a front brake job. I did the backs, but haven't done the fronts on this car. The caliper looks funny, and there seems to be no way to pull the pads from the top. No pins. No pins? Am I having a blonde moment?

Help!

Are those calipers fixed or floating type?

If floating there should be a 13?mm nut to open one side of the caliper (needs counterheld?). Then the caliper just swivels up to reveal the pads.

P.S. Use a piece of wire to hang the caliper while you work.

Floating, No pins. The sliding top of the caliper has to rotate out by undoing one of the two main bolts. Then you pop the pads out of the caliper, push the piston in, put new ones in and rotate the caliper top back on.
I usually loosen both bolts and take the caliper top off completely.

Well, we got 'em done, no problems. Thanks. I had been turning the bolt and holding the inside one, but made no progress and panicked. All for nought.

Thanks guys!
