Troubleshooting Tranny, pics included
My tranny has been leaking and I think I may have found the source. The bell is clean as is most everything until the pan. Everything under the pan is red and slimey. I found what I believe to be the modulator, (on the right side of the tranny with the white vacuum hose going into it) and there was no fluid going up the hose. I found this part towards the rear of the tranny and it seems to be the highest point thats got fluid on it, hence is what I suspect to be the culprit. Can anyone tell me what this part is and how difficult it would be to replace? Also would this part continue to leak if the car has been sitting on jackstands for 2 months or should I look for something else?
