				Rear Headrest Vacuum Valve release

i have the trunk lining out, and i can see the two headrest vaccum valves that should release the headrests and let them go down (car is a 1993 400e). I have tried hooking a handheld sharkvac up to a vacuum line connected to the valves but the headrests still wont go down. Anybody have any tips?

If you have a sun curtain in the back window you have to roll it down otherwise the headrest wont go down but a guess that is not the problem.

On my 1987 300D Turbo there is a small valve under the rear passenger's seat cushion on the driver's side. When I was having vac problems, I was able to release the headrests by pulling vac on the plastic line leading to the rear headrests. I'm not sure if yours is similar, but worth a try.....
