brake squeek

my brakes squeek when I am in reverse and apply the brakes... does this mean my back brakes need replacement? I just changed my front pads and rotors. slk 230 1998

Not necessarily, how much pad material is left?

it looks like the rotors are worn, I didn't chk the pads, I am not sure if there are sensors on the rear for the pads, but no brake warning lights on...

Rears don't have sensors...their wear cycle is not as critical as the fronts.

Worn rotors can cause some squeak issues.

If you are handy and your rears still have meat on them, you can pull the pads and apply some "brake paste" to the sides that don't contact the disc. Pad movement is most often the culprit of quealing pads.

Thank you I will try that.
