W126 Chassis question

Is the 300SE and the 380SE on shorter wheelbase than the SEL models? I had a '79 300SD on the W116 Chassis and like the size. I also like the classic look of the 126 chassis but do not like the "length" of the 420SEL or the 560SEL. Appreciate comments. Thanks

Yes, the SE's are 4-5 inches shorter than the SEL's.

I thought it was 6" in the rear doors/floors.

100 mm, or approx 4 inches.
