does anyone know which mercedes sprinter model is equivelent to the 2003 2500 Freightliner sprinter? a chassis number would be great.

Spinters are model number 311, 316 and 323, depending on wheelbase, capacity, roof height. There could be other models. I don't know how it relates to freighliner definition

Jack, thanks for the reply, do they have a prefix like other mercedes?
like 311.xxx, 316.xxx and 323.xxx does yours have a coplete chassis number?
what i am doing is trying to find if my mercedes repair program covers the sprinters. the program won't accept a dodge or freightliner vin, but it will accept a mercedes vin or chassis number.

I don't have my chassis number as the vehicle is presently in storage for the winter.
I don't think my vehicle would have reference to MB model number as it is a Dodge clone. I would think Chrysler would have pout their own serial numbers on it.

thanks jack, i believe all sprinter vin #'s regardless of type start with WD2. thanks for the link i will check it out.
