Battery Tender vs BatteryMINDer

What do you guys think is better to use for my Optima red top battery:

Battery Tender Plus 12V @ 1.25A $59.95 USD
http://batterytender.com/product_info.php?products_id=2

or

BatteryMINDer 12 Volt 1 Amp Optima $64.95 USD
http://www.vdcelectronics.com/batte..._12v_optima.htm

and with the BatteryMINDer you get SureGuard free:

Amps is amps and volts is volts, regardless of the battery color. Save some money, go to WalMart, they have Schumacher auto-off trickle chargers for $18 US. I use three of them to keep all my old car batteries fully charged through the winter.

Thank you. I have more reading to do now ;). The PriorityStart caught my interest.

My personal favorite (after 20+ years of boats and "toy" cars) is the Guest Battery Pal maintenance charger (float for maintaining only) or their 6A ChargePro charger (three-stage 6A charger with float stage). Both have the key provision of a float stage that won't overcharge, which is the key point; any electronically controlled unit with this ability should be ok. The auto-off units that theoretically shut off at a certain voltage have cooked batteries for me in the past.

I have that Priority Start installed on my Porsche and it works great. It has disconnectedhe battery from the load, ie car, a few times. You just hit your brakes and it reconnects battery and car started no problem. I got mine on ebay I think I paid about $45 or $50, it was new.
