Need Some Speedo Help.
 

ALLO.
MY SPEEDO ON THE 1983 MB SL 280 (euro-grey market model) seems to
work only when it wants to. This is not acceptable. It needs to work
all the time. Aside from the $130/hour at the dealer, :( any cheaper advice
from ya'll ?

From what I've seen in the past, an intermittent speedometer can be caused by a falulty speedo cable. It's supposed to be a quick repair. I'm not saying that this is the problem with yours, only making a suggestion as to what might need to be done.
