124 Fuel Injection questions

Hi All

I was trying to identify my FI system. Car is 1992 124 with 2 litre 102 engine (Euro). It has a pressure actuator on the distributor (EHA) but no O2 sensor. Also it has no pin 3 on X11 connector.

I just adjusted the EHA with the recommended 1/4 CW turn and it felt better. I've been having starting problems when the car is warm (not hot) - fires and dies immediately on the first try. Subsequently starts fine. I am hoping the EHA adjust above with cure this.

What other functions does the EHA do if there is no O2 input? I cannot get a reading from the EHA with KonEoff. But car won't start with EHA disconnected.

Thanks your input in helping me understand my system.

It's the nature of the beast! The best way around this is to just give it a little throttle once it fires from a warm condition. That will keep it from dying and needing a restart.

It's usually best to adjust to a car's idiosycracies rather than trying to adjust it to how you think it should work, especially if it's a minor issue and there is an easy alternative.

Hi Duke

The EHA adjustment did not work on the warm start problem. Will heed your advice on the pedal unless someone else has something up their sleeve. Is there a coolant temp sensor linked to a hot start relay?
