I would appreciate any help from you guys on the trunk lock tumbler removal. My car , 87 420SEL, had this issue since I bought it. The trunk will not lock or unlock with the key (Master key). It worked fine with centeral locking system, finally I decide to tackle this today. I did a search and could not find any specific help on the topic.
I have removed the lock from the trunk and have it on my bench. I am not able to remove the trunk tumbler so I can file the bent metal pieces to fix my problem. What is the trick to remove it? I cannot even take it out of the chrome piece as you can see from the pic.
