Rear Sunscreen 420SEL help
 

I'm trying to repair the electric rear sunscreen on my 1988 420SEL. I removed the verticle bar and found out that it works like the automatic antenna (with a white toothed plastic belt). How do I go about removing the rear package shelf entirely so I can get at the motor to get the job done? I removed all the screws I found but it is still held tightly in place. :confused:

You need to remove the c pillar covers and then you lift the parcel shelf up and forward. There is a bolt in the boot/trunk that needs to be removed.
