I got a 280ce for free.The car is rough inside and out,but salvagable.It as a 110 engine,but the fuel pump,filter,accumulator and damper ware missing.I took a fuel pump and filter from a 87 420sel and hook it up.I than tried to start it and it wouldnt.But after pooring gas in,she finally started and ran excellent for quite a while.But once I turned it off,she wouldnt restart unless I primed it again.I than tried to ad the second fuel pump from that 87,and at this point,she will not sart at all.I have good fuel pressure coming in the fuel distributor,and fuel going back on the return line,but no fuel reaching the injectors unless I prime it.Before I start restoring this car and spend a bunch of money,I what a make sure it will start on its own.What could the problem be,and how to check it??Thanks for any help.
