124 climate control bulbs

Replacement is an easy 10 minute job.
1. Remove surrounding wood trim by removing 2 screws at the bottom and gently pulling up.
2. pull back the black tape covering the bulbs, just 2 Sylvania 2721 1.2 watt.
3. remove bulbs with tweezers.
regards,
Mark

Did you just do this job? Thanks for passing on the info.

I used a little piece of rubber tubing to pull out the bulbs in mine and it worked well.

I did this yesterday. Had heard of the rubber tube method, but every hose I had was too big to go through the opening around the bulb. Tweezers did the job; just be careful not to break the old bulb by too much pressure.

Some extra long needle-nose pliers works pretty well too. Just don't squeeze to hard and crush the bulb!

vinyl tubing is the only way to go. pliers, etc. may do it but if the bulb breaks, you will remember this warning. don't ask me how i learned of this.

for inserting bulbs, use straw (pop), slip bulb in and use bbq stick to push bulb in.

Where did you find the right size vinyl tubing?

Home Depot. Buy your replacement bulb and fit it in those tubing they sell in bulk.

I prefer to use whatever size tubing fits in the hole, and use a dab of superglue to stick the tube to the bulb. After the glue cures, the bulb is easily pulled out.

superglue started all my headaches. the glue traveled down the socket and you what that means. it may have worked for some, but was a nightmare for me. cheers :)
