Check this out guys.
The best fix for the sticky needle stop posts is to disassemble the cluster to access the stops and strip a small piece of insulation off of a black wire and simply pop it on the shaft of the needle stop and you will never have to worry about it sticking again because it will do it again if you clean it, but the material of the wire insulation never gets sticky from composition breakdown. Just don't use any wire insulation from MB wires to be on the safe side. I've repaired quite a few like that with never a recurring problem. |
