W210 wiring harness degradation

Is this degradation of the wiring harness a common problem in W210's aswell? And if so, is that a problem for US-built W210's only or for the Stuttgart W210's aswell? Have not yet heard of this issue over here.

I don't think there has ever been a wiring harness degradation problem in W210's.

In fact, one of the techs has posted (I thing Stevebfl) that the cut-off for the good wiring harness occured in the middle of the 1995 production run of the W124.
