Mercedes_Benz 500SEL 1985
Low gear only--No up skift--What wrong?

Check the kick-down switch under the accelerator pedal. If it is stuck than the transmition will be in first gear only. Pull the top of the kick-down switch or disconnect it to test it. Good luck.
