How Do I Check My Oil
 

I understand how to change the oil .. but i just got my C320 and i do not know how to Measure the oil.. it doesnt have the conventional way of measuring oil... like through the stick.. there is a plug i suspected a stick for measureing the oil would be there.. but it wasn't
What do i do and how do i measure my oil?? thank you------------------------------------------------------------------------

I'm pretty sure your car has an electronic oil level indicator ( light on the dash ). No need for a dipstick.

i am sure you are wanting to know how to read the oil level using the multi function steering wheel. here it is, i put it in a screenshot below. please let me know if this helps. it says for model 220, but the 203 is the same

Are you serious??? You have to press a bunch of buttons and wait to have your oil level checked electronically?
That's past funny...it's ridiculous. What could possibly be the reason to eliminate the dipstick? The cost of the dipstick has to be less than the cost of the electronics to measure the oil level.
What were they thinking??? I suppose a car company is allowed to do something goofy every now and then....but did they really have to do this?
It's embarrassing...I am not going to tell anybody about this, that's for sure.

If your dealer is nice you can buy a dipstick from them. The hole you saw is the actual dipsstick tube used for sucking the oil out as well as measuring. Not sure why MB decided that we could not use a dipstick nor why they think we do not want or need one. Probably to force the average buyer to go to the dealer for oil changes after Maintainance is over. Myself, I am going to buy one so when I hit the old 50K mark and do my own oil changes I actually have a dipstick. I have had the display state that I need a quart of oil about 9000 miles after the oil change and I call the dealer and ***** that I have no dipstick and do not trust that damn computer to tell me my oil level. They said I am not the only one, I only add 1/2 quart when it says that and it goes away.

As for checking it electronically, you need to just turn the ignition to on and not start the engine, then wait about 60 seconds and make sure you are on the MFD menu that shows you the oil level, the menu set that starts out with mileage and as you go through the screens you see temp next, then service interval time, then the next is the oil level.

One more reason to stay away from the new line of MB cars.

Yeah but they look so good! I bought the W203 before the W201. I got the W201 because the W203 was supposed to be mine but the wife confiscated it once she learned how to drive a standard shift car. I did not think she would learn so fast and be so good. She learned on the C230K SC. So since I was writing a check out every month to pay for it I felt I had to have a Benz too so I picked up the W201 at the auction I work for pretty damn cheap!:D:D:D
