i have an 1984 190e 2.3 and i recently found out that there is oil in my coolant reservoir...so what should i do and whats the matter with my car and should i get it fixed immediately...thanks

It could be a blown head gasket. Have your engine check soon.

It sounds like you have a headgasket problem. Do you have any milkshake like substance on your dipstick? If you do, then that would be water/coolant, in your oil. I would definetly get it looked at ASAP. I am not familar with your eng., but I'll bet it has an aluminum head, and these will warp if she overheats. Hopefully you have spotted this early enough.

Rawny,
Are there any other symptoms? Does the engine run and idle well? Is it using a lot of oil? Is it smoking out the tailpipe? Give us some more clues and best of luck, |
Keep an eye on the oil level. If it's going up, park it.

Yes should be the head gasket, try to do the compression test, by comparing the pressure of the cylinder, you will know whether is it or not.
