Yeah, but the question is even when you get a discount, it is a discount off of what price? Mercedes posts three prices, suggested retail, wholesale and dealer cost. Many, many dealers take the suggested retail and mark that up as much as 50% on some parts. If they give you 15% off of an already inflated price, then you would do better getting the stiuff from a dealer that sells at straight retail. And Caliber Motors for one sells their parts at the wholesale price.

As a member of the MB club here in Dallas / Ft Worth, they give us a disscount on the first 10 days and the last ten dayds of the month. Ususally we get the parts whole sale I believe.

I know PP's number. They, like many dealerships, sell at "matrix prices". They are NOT mercedes USA suggested retail pricing, they are much greater (20-50%). Then, they nicely give MB club members a discount of 15-20%. If you look carefully, generally its a rebate- so it's done after taxes. Ok, to defend them, I encoutered that at the VW dealership ??METRO VW.

I've been using Randy Steele since he works for a mb dealership now and ships wholesale prices, not retail or matrix prices. He can also source aftermarket prices if there is a difference.
I also dealt with my previous hometown dealership whom used MBUSA suggested list, after about a year a friend introduced me to the parts guys-then everything was wholesale. If you are getting wholesale, you'll find little modivation on the OEM stuff. OEM networks are basing the prices now on dealerships using matrix pricing, so they price there's somewhere between wholesale and retail it seems.

I live walking distance from Park Place Motors and only go there when I really have to. Those butt heads have been charging me twice the list price for everything. I go there often enough for them to know who I am, and cringe every time they give me a price. They should have told me about this discount. Now I hate them even more than I did before.

My dealer gave me a life time VIP card which is good for over the counter and special order parts with 15% discount. Had to use it to purchase a new remote key for my recently acquired W202. The discount made a difference, as I would have to pay $220. But I only paid $190. Save me a few bucks
