Dash Brake-Warning light stays on. Recently the brake warning light on my 76 450SL decided to light and dazzle me each time I take the auto for a drive. The Benz accelerates and stops with equal enthusiasm, and the parking brake secures and releases perfectly. The brake fluid level is correct and there is no sign of leakage (probably the only thing that doesn't leak on this peppy flier). I hope it's just the adjustment on the emergency brake actuator, but are there other things I should check??

On many of the 70's Benzes there is a brake proportioning switch on the master cylinder. It's a small button that you push back in to reset, if not then unplug the reservoir switches as many of the floats sink!
