W201 2.6 Camshaft/Crankshaft Alignment

Hi, can anyone tell me how verify the camshaft:crankshaft alignment? I'm a BMW tech replacing the t-chain & guides on my brother's 1992 2.6 190e and I don't see any obvious alignment marks for the cam & crank. Thanks!
