95 S420 headlight out, no warning light
 

The right headlight of my 95 S420 is out. The warning light in the dash doesn't come on - not when the key is in the on position before starting the engine, nor when the headlights are on. Should the warning light come on before the engine starts?

The correct process is this: With your headlights off, turn your key to position 1 (acc) and all instrument cluster warning lights should come on (including your check a light burned warning). Turn key to position 2 (turn on engine). All warning lights should go off.

Then, turn on your headlights (with your engine on) and your warning for a light burned should come on if all circuits are correct and you have a headlight burned out.
