Audi brake pads & wiper blades
from the 3/3/05 edition of the WSJ I thought this information would be useful.
An article on Audi fetting cars for the American market. 1) also has brake pads containing less copper, making them quieter and longer-lasting for the low-speed. 2) Wipers made for high-speed German autobahns squeak more on low-speed U.S. roads because there is less wind pressing the wipers against the glass. |
Hey, that's some great info!
I suppose many people complain about nit picky things like that in the US.... so maybe Audi should sell waterdowned U.S. designed parts..... like everyone else! I HATE MY W124 DOT HEADLIGHTS!!!!!! STUPID DOT!!!! TO RESTRICTIVE!!!! MADE MY CAR UGLY FROM THE START!!!!!! :bsflag: |
I think the pad compound on the W211 has low copper content in the pads. It almost looks like they replaced the copper with more synthetic graphite, those pads are dusty.
