Wiper won't park

I have a problem in that the monowiper on my '93 190D won't park when switched off.

Have searched several threads but haven't seen a reference to this problem.

So I have a wiper that wants to continue wiping even in "off" position, only remedied by removing the fuse. Anyone got any wise words??
