Alternator wire removal
 
Car is a 1992 300te. Replacing the alternator. Would anyone please etell me how to remove the fat wire with boot connected to the back of the alternator? I don't want to ruin the boot by prying it off incorrectly.

Disconnect the battery before you put a wrench on that stud, or it could short out and cause a nasty burn.

The boot should pop rite off.
